Herbert married Irvena Matilda Yeckley, daughter of W. Irving Yeckley and Nancy White Gilbert, on 5 Feb 1896 in Rawsonville, Michigan. (Irvena Matilda Yeckley was born on 25 Jul 1875, died on 23 Mar 1962 and was buried in Denton Cemetery, Wayne County, Michigan.)
