"The will of John Tripp of Horkstow, dated 10 September 1614 proved in the Consistory Court of Lincoln 17 October 1614 and signed by mark, named as executrix his wife Margaret and as residuary legatee his son William Tripp. Others mentioned included Francis, son of his son William, John, son of his son John, daughter Elizabeth, her sons John Long and John Gresse, and son Robert and his children Thomas and Elizabeth Tripp. No estate is found for his widow. The surnames of his second and third wives remain to be found." ¹
