  General Notes:

King Philip's War (1675/76), he was among the 180 men from Lyme, CT who served as soldiers against the Indians in King Phillips War. His brother Aaron also served. Moses was among those who drew Cedar Swamp lots as a reward for service. He received lot 119 .

King Philip's War was a New England war that began in 1675. King Philip, whose Native American name is Metacomet. He was chief of the Wampanoags and a brilliant soldier. He led attacks against several frontier towns in Massachusetts.



Moses married Abigail Chappell, daughter of George Chappell and Christian ?, on 18 Jan 1681 in Lyme, New London Co, Connecticut. (Abigail Chappell was born on 1 Sep 1644 in Wethersfield, Hartford Co., Connecticut.)
