Revolutionary War, soldier from Colchester, CT, Quartermaster in Gen. Joseph Spencer's 2n d CT Regiment, at Roxbury and at Bunker Hill. Commissioned Ensign on 26 Sep 1775 in Captain Levi Well's Co. Discharged on 10 Dec 1775. Reenlisted and served as 2nd Lt., Col. Wyllys' 22nd Continentals at New York. Was in the battles of Long Island, White Plains, Peeskill.
