  General Notes:

Revolutionary War, served in Col. Tyler's Brigade under Gen. Sullivan in Rhode Island, August and Sept. 1778. In July 1779 he joined Capt. Lee Lay's Co. and helped build Fort Griswold in Groton, Conn.
