General Notes: George Huntley sold his property in Millington Parish, East Haddam, Connecticut to William Moor of Waterford, Connecticut on 3 May 1803. George Huntley became one of the first settlers of Parma, Monroe Co., New York about 1802-03. George kept the first tavern at Odgen Center before 1810. He was a Captain in Lt. Col. William Rumsey's Regt. in 1808 and 1st Major in 1811. In the War of 1812 he was a Major in Atchinson's Regt. of New York Militia. There is a 1834 Land Patent for Section 23 in Hartland Twp, Livingston Co., Michigan. 5 [Erastus] married Betsey Church, daughter of Ira Church and Rachel Aikens, on 3 Sep 1792 in East Haddam, Middlesex Co, Connecticut.1 (Betsey Church was born on 1 Mar 1775 in East Haddam, Connecticut and died about 1853 in Hartland, Livingston Co, Michigan.) |
