The State Archive is located in the Michigan Library and Historical Center, two blocks west of the State Capitol, in Lansing, Michigan

The Archive of Michigan only has a copy of the original charcoal sketch. This copy belongs to the Burton Historical Collection of the Detroit Library and copies can not be made. The Burton Historical Collection doesn't have the original photograph or negative.
